What to Pack

Although "casual" is the operative word for vacation clothes, Puerto Ricans dress up to go out, particularly in the cities. Pack some dressy-casual slacks and shirts, summer skirts for women, casual clothes for the resort, at least two bathing suits, and sturdy shoes for walking. A light sweater or jacket is also a good idea. If you're planning on visiting nature reserves, pack long-sleeve shirts and long pants to guard against mosquitoes.
